First Majestic Announces New Chief Operating Officer

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 03, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First Majestic Silver Corp. (AG: NYSE; FR: TSX) ("First Majestic" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Steve Holmes to the role of Chief Operating Officer (“COO”). Mr. Holmes is a mining engineer with over 35 years of experience and will be responsible for overseeing all operational functions at the Company’s Mexican portfolio of silver mines and projects.  

Prior to joining First Majestic, Mr. Holmes held the position of Vice President, Joint Venture Portfolio at Barrick Gold Corporation, a global gold mining company, and was responsible for overseeing Barrick’s interest in their Global Joint Venture operations and projects. He previously served as the COO for KGHM International, Operations Vice President at the Sierra Gorda copper mine in Chile and has acted in general management roles at Asarco, the Mine Technology Group, Chino Mines Company and Freeport-McMoRan.
